Smell that? It’s the wonderful scent of blooming flowers, chirping birds, and dozens of traceurs emerging outside after a cold, long winter: it’s the smell of spring.
That’s right, forget about the snow we just had a few days ago, because spring is officially here. We’ve got longer days, warmer weather, and there’s that air of excitement among parkour practitioners that only comes once a year. We know you’ve spent the cold snowy days practicing inside the gym or doing some conditioning at home, so its time to take what you’ve learned and apply it outside in the real world.
NYParkour representative Vertical Jimenez is hosting the first jam of spring, an all-day event this coming Saturday, March 23rd, starting at 11:00am and ending when everyone is too tired to stand. The meetup spot is at Heckscher park (see Facebook page for a map), and from there the jam will continue to Sanctuary and other spots along the way.
Shake your rust off and get back out there. It looks to be a nice forecast, so don’t miss out on some good training and some good company. Hope to see you there!
