New Mobile Parkour Game: "Vector"

Recently injured and unable to train for a while?  Well worry not, because Russian App developer Nekki has created Vector, a 2D side-scrolling action Parkour game for Android and Apple devices.

The movements, like with most phone games, are controlled via swipes on your device.  The game boasts having over 100 parkour-inspired moves in it's database- That’s already more than Mirrors Edge.  The objective of the game is to accumulate points for each parkour move you execute, while constantly running from the bad guys (who apparently know parkour better then you do).

The challenge of Vector lies in the timing of your swipes: swipe correctly, and you flow on.  Miss one move, and you crash and burn.  The character doesn’t stop running once the level starts, but there are coins in the game that can be collected and used to buy special PK moves or level ups at the end of certain levels.  Or, you could take the quicker route and buy the in-app purchases which net you more coinage.

All of the design time seems to have been spent on the background, with the main characters cloaked in an eternal shadow that exists even when they're running in the sun.  The movements, however, look very realistic and it is apparent that the designers really studied the parkour moves they are recreating in the game.

All in all the game doesn't look too bad, and the trailer (located bellow) is pretty cool.  We all know, though, that it doesn't come close to the real thing!  Vector is free to download and play, but if you want all 30 levels you'll have to buy the deluxe version for $0.99.

For those who are curious, you can try the game out via the links below, and don't forget to let us know what you think in the comments section bellow.
